Manages the Market offices acting as a key resource in representing the bank to the community and the Market area. Leads the employees in the commitment to achieving the bank's goals. Is accountable for managing the bank's resources in a manner that will enhance its visibility, positively contribute to revenue growth and maximize it profitability. Provides on-going guidance, direction and leadership to the bank staff in meeting bank goals while providing exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.
Initiate and manage the service and sales activities within the bank.
Participate in and provides for the assessment of training and development needs of all employees ensuring the ongoing development of the staff.
Oversees the flow of cash and financial instruments in accordance with company policy.
Assesses risk of all financial transactions executed by bank personnel.
Collects data to analyze the present and future financial status of the bank.
Directs, coordinates, and monitors activities to implement bank's policies, procedures, and practices concerning granting or extending lines of credit, commercial loans, real estate loans, and consumer credit loans. Keeps abreast of regulatory compliance and developments and apprises staff of the same. Recommends procedural changes as needed to support prescribed requirements.
Directs activities involving implementation of bank services and functions including collecting delinquent accounts, authorizing loans, or offering retail products/services.
Ascertains that established procedures for custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral, and securities to ensure safekeeping are followed.
Initiates and manages the sales and service activities for the bank by contacting customers and business, community, and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.
Compiles and reports financial data as required and adheres to government regulations.
Prepares required reports.
Establishes and maintains contact with banking-related industries such as insurance, real estate, and securities.
Supervises commercial loan staff.
Evaluates performance of staff.
Enhances the growth and development of department employees.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year College or University and five or more years of progressively responsible and broad based commercial and/or real estate lending; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specific experience underwriting commercial relationships of both operating lines and term debt of several million dollars to single borrowers. Preference to experience managing the work production of others involved in both Agriculture and/or Energy lending and support roles.
Documented leadership experience in a commercial bank environment, including experience with budgets and management. Must have communication skills that allow him/her to interact with executive management as well as support staff.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Complete familiarity with the Bank’s policies and guidelines in order to ensure compliance with Bank’s Strategic Goals.
A high degree of maturity and professionalism, and excellent human relations and communications skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
